Position Overview
Operators will safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment on excavation and site development projects. Ideal candidates will have experience with excavation work and operating multiple types of machinery while also being willing to assist crews in the field when not operating equipment.
We are looking for team players with strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and a desire to grow with the company.
Equipment Experience Preferred
- Excavators
- Backhoes
- Wheel Loaders
- Dozers
- Skid Steers
- Compactors/Rollers
- Other construction and earthmoving equipment
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, loading, and site preparation work
- Assist ground crews and labor teams when needed
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Read grade stakes, site plans, and work instructions as required
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members
Qualifications
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience required
- Experience in excavation, underground utilities, grading, or site development preferred
- CDL Class A license is a strong plus and qualifies for higher earning potential
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor when necessary
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented
