Position overview
- Operate heavy equipment on civil construction projects including site development, roadwork, and utility installation
- Projects located throughout Nebraska with consistent hours and overtime opportunities
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and rollers
- Perform rough and fine grading, trenching, and backfilling
- Assist with underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm)
- Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with field crews and supervisors to maintain schedules
- Follow all safety guidelines and jobsite procedures
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction
- Experience with sitework, excavation, or underground utilities preferred
- Ability to read grade stakes and work to elevations
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices
- Willingness to travel within Nebraska as needed
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
