We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Project Manager to join a growing team in Nebraska. This role will oversee a variety of heavy civil projects including underground wet utilities, site development, roadway/highway work, paving, and bridge-related projects. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage projects from pre-construction through closeout while maintaining safety, quality, schedules, and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil construction projects from start to finish
- Oversee underground wet utility projects including water, sewer, and storm systems
- Coordinate site development, grading, paving, roadway, and bridge-related scopes
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and project documentation
- Handle RFIs, change orders, submittals, and procurement
- Maintain strong communication with owners, engineers, inspectors, and field teams
- Monitor project safety, quality control, and production
- Assist with estimating, project planning, and forecasting
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction project management preferred
- Background in underground utilities, heavy civil, highway, paving, or bridge construction
- Strong understanding of DOT, municipal, and private civil projects
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and civil drawings
- Knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and sitework operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Valid driver’s license required
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required with equivalent experience
