Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing insurance defense and commercial litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to handle a broad range of matters while working alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative environment. An onsite or hybrid schedule is available to promote work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage insurance defense and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct written discovery and prepare responses.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
  • Appear in state and federal court for hearings, status conferences, and motion arguments.
  • Assist with case strategy, legal research, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, commercial litigation, or a related civil litigation practice.
  • Active license to practice law in New Hampshire.
  • Experience appearing in court is preferred.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions is preferred.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills (writing sample required).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced practice.
