Sr. Commercial Lines Account Manager - Team Lead
Location: Hybrid| Salary: $100,000–$150,000 

A well-established insurance brokerage in central NJ (100+ years) is seeking an experienced commercial insurance leader to oversee its high-performing commercial lines team. This strategic role focuses on operational excellence, team development, and delivering strong client service across a diverse book of business.

The ideal candidate brings technical strength, leadership experience, and a collaborative approach to driving performance and efficiency. This role reports to the COO and offers a hybrid schedule after 90 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Account Managers and service staff
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance management
  • Drive a collaborative, retention-focused culture
  • Ensure service, sales, and retention goals are met
  • Lead renewal strategy and monitor performance metrics
  • Improve workflows and maintain compliance standards
  • Act as a technical advisor to clients, carriers, and internal teams
  • Support retention, new business, and account growth initiatives
  • Partner with leadership on strategy and program development

Qualifications

  • 4+ years managing commercial insurance teams
  • Strong commercial lines technical expertise
  • Experience with Epic or similar AMS
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Industry designation (CIC, CPCU, ARM) or pursuit of
