Assistant Electrical Project Manager

Gpac is a national executive search firm specializing in recruitment for the electrical construction industry. We have been retained by a local electrical contractor in the area to find an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in managing commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from start to finish
Support development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support project success
Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts alongside senior leadership
Assist with monitoring job progress and communicating with field personnel
Help manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Ensure work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards
Participate in project meetings and provide updates to internal teams
Assist in identifying and resolving project challenges
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of experience with an electrical contractor, preferably in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager role
Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
Strong organizational and communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow into a Project Manager role
Stable work history
Proficiency with project management software is a plus
