Location: Queens County, New York
Shift: 1:00–9:00 p.m.
Pay: $45–$50/hour, based on experience
A well-established food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment within a high-volume manufacturing facility.
This opportunity is ideal for a mechanic who enjoys solving difficult equipment problems and wants hands-on ownership of both modern automation and legacy European machinery.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot molding, wrapping, packaging, cartoning, and conveyor equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment issues
Repair motors, VFDs, sensors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Perform preventative maintenance and support equipment changeovers
Read electrical schematics and work with systems up to 480V
Help reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
Qualifications:
Industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Working knowledge of PLC diagnostics
Experience with high-speed packaging or automated production equipment
Food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
