Job Title: Civil Estimator / Site Work Estimator Location: Cleveland, OH (Greater Cleveland Area) Experience Level: 3+ Years Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Civil / Site Work Estimator with 3+ years of experience to join our team in the Greater Cleveland area.

This role focuses strictly on the heavy civil, earthworks, and underground utility side of construction bidding. You will analyze blueprints, specifications, and regional site conditions to deliver precise cost estimates for mass excavation, grading, storm-water systems, and municipal utility installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs for mass earthmoving, site grading, subgrade preparation, and deep foundations.
• Calculate accurate cost structures for underground utilities, including mainline storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water distribution systems, and retention basins.
• Review regional Northeast Ohio geotechnical reports to assess soil conditions, rock excavation needs, and cut/fill balances.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from local material suppliers and specialized civil subcontractors.
• Prepare and assemble formal bid packages for municipal, commercial, and private site-development projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of dedicated civil, heavy highway, or site work estimating experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in industry-standard estimating and take-off software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid, B2W, AGTEK, Bluebeam, or equivalent).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) specifications and Northeast Ohio municipal utility standards.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on field experience.
