Bridge Estimator – DOT / Roadway Construction

We are seeking an experienced Bridge Estimator to support bidding efforts on DOT and roadway bridge construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in heavy civil estimating who can develop accurate, competitive bids for large infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates for bridge and roadway construction projects
• Analyze plans, specifications, and DOT bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during bid development
• Assist with bid submissions and post-bid reviews

Qualifications:

• Experience estimating DOT, roadway, and bridge construction projects required
• Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods and costs
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Experience with takeoff and estimating software preferred (HCSS HeavyBid)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
