Job Description

<p>We're hiring a Steel Estimator for a structural steel fabricator in the Cincinnati metro. You'll prepare accurate, competitive bids for fabricated and erected steel projects.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs</li><li>Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight</li><li>Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals</li><li>Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years estimating structural steel</li><li>Strong blueprint reading skills</li><li>Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar</li></ul>
