Tax Manager | Public Accounting

Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid)

An established and highly respected regional public accounting firm is continuing to grow and is looking to add a Tax Manager to its Cleveland office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys leading client engagements, mentoring staff, and building long-term client relationships while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee tax engagements from planning through completion
• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to a diverse client base
• Review work prepared by staff and seniors while ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Mentor, train, and develop team members through coaching and technical guidance
• Manage multiple client relationships while delivering exceptional client service
• Conduct tax research and stay current on changing tax laws and regulations
• Identify opportunities to improve client processes and provide value-added advisory services
• Collaborate with firm leadership on practice growth initiatives

Qualifications

• CPA license required
• 4+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience
• Strong technical tax knowledge and research skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to continue growing professionally within a collaborative firm
