Our client, a well-established site work and civil construction contractor in the Cleveland area, is adding a Civil Estimator to their team.
What you'll do:
• Prepare detailed estimates for earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving and site development projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs from civil plans and specifications
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Build bid strategies and present proposals with the project team
• Hand off awarded work to operations and support project managers
What you bring:
• 5-10 years estimating civil, site work or heavy/highway construction
• HCSS HeavyBid preferred
• Strong takeoff skills and understanding of crew, equipment and production rates
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience
