Remote Commercial Construction Project Manager

Are you an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager looking for the flexibility of a remote role while still leading exciting projects across the country?
We're partnering with a growing commercial general contractor specializing in fast-paced renovation and ground-up projects throughout the retail and light commercial markets. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll have ownership of your projects, work directly with leadership, and play a key role in delivering successful builds for nationally recognized clients.

What You'll Do
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout while working remotely.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, vendors, and field superintendents to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively identifying and resolving potential risks.
- Monitor project costs, forecast financial performance, and ensure projects remain profitable.
- Lead virtual project meetings and maintain consistent communication with clients and internal teams.
- Review construction drawings, contracts, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure project accuracy.
- Support project turnover, punch list completion, closeout documentation, and warranty activities.
Preferred Project Experience
Experience managing one or more of the following project types:
- Retail renovations and tenant improvements
- Gas stations and fueling facilities
- Oil change facilities
- Automotive service centers
- Banking and financial institutions
- Medical offices and other light commercial facilities
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Experience with budgets, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (typically 10–30%, depending on project workload).
