Estimator / Senior Estimator

Location: Holland, Ohio

A well-established commercial general contractor in Holland, Ohio, is looking to add an Estimator or Senior Estimator to its growing team. With over 30 years in business, this company offers long-term stability, opportunities for professional growth, and a great team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor bids.

• Develop and maintain project budgets and estimates.

• Identify potential cost savings, risks, and discrepancies during the estimating process.

• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other internal team members.

• Assist with bid preparation, bid submissions, and project handoffs to the operations team.

• Maintain organized estimating documentation and cost information using Sage software.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction estimating, preferably with a commercial general contractor.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Knowledge of construction costs, materials, labor, subcontractor pricing, and building methods.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Experience with estimating software; familiarity with Sage is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and priorities.

• A team-oriented mindset and interest in long-term professional growth.
