A well established, growing company in the Eugene, OR area is seeking a Qualified Plastic Injection Designer/Engineer to join their team.           

Relocation assistance can be provided.

Core Attributes Required

  • 4+ Years mold/tool maker experinced and demonstrated abilty to build, repair and troubleshoot injection molds
  • High-cavitation mold experience and familiarity with complex, multi-cavity production tooling
  • CAD model building expertise and strong SolidWorks capability with complex assemblies
  • Full mold layout design of gating, cooling, venting, ejection systems
  • HDPE molding experience and understanding of flow behavior, shrink, cooling, and high volume production needs
  • DFM, GD&T tolernance analysis and ability to design for manufacturability and precision
  • Modular tooling architecture experience with common mold bases, standardized inserts, interchangeable cavities
  • Tooling reuse strategies for designing scalability and asset utilization
  • MasterCAM experience - daily use for machining and toolpath creation
