A well-established, highly respected Pacific Northwest litigation boutique is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Portland team.

This is an opportunity to work in a true litigation environment—not a settlement mill—where associates are trusted with real responsibility, direct client interaction, and meaningful courtroom exposure early on.

The firm represents businesses, insurers, and professionals in complex civil defense matters and is known for its trial strength, tight-knit team, and long-term attorney development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Defend clients in general liability, premises liability, and injury-related claims
• Handle matters from initial investigation through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
• Evaluate insurance coverage issues and liability exposure
• Work directly with clients and carriers to develop and execute defense strategies
• Gain hands-on experience in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation

What They’re Looking For

• JD + Oregon Bar admission (required)
• 2–5 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage files independently while collaborating with a team
• Interest in building a long-term career in litigation and trial work
