Job Description

Position Summary

Oversees engineering and drafting resources to ensure effective coordination of design activities and technical services. Works closely with engineering, product management, and sales teams to support new product development as well as continuous improvement of existing product lines within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering and design activities related to maintaining existing products and developing new ones.
• Plan and guide future product development initiatives to improve performance and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Serve as a technical resource for research and development initiatives beyond routine business unit needs.
• Conceptualize product designs and oversee the fabrication and evaluation of manufactured components and assemblies.
• Develop engineering personnel to ensure strong technical capability, high productivity, and clear career growth pathways.
• Evaluate and test purchased components to confirm proper form, fit, and function.
• Manage and monitor engineering and design-related expenses.
• Support investigation and resolution of field and manufacturing issues.
• Maintain and manage engineering design databases and documentation systems.
• Fabricate and assemble prototypes for testing and validation.
• Assist with training contractors, distributors, representatives, and internal team members on product functionality and applications.
