A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Legal Assistant to support its Intellectual Property Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with patent and trademark prosecution experience who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and enjoys working alongside a collaborative team.

📄 Intellectual Property Legal Assistant

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Intellectual Property Practice Group
• Track and manage critical patent and trademark deadlines, including office actions and renewals
• Maintain and update client patent and trademark portfolios, reports, and status summaries
• Coordinate domestic and international patent and trademark filings, including PCT national phase entries and foreign correspondence
• Draft, edit, and proofread legal correspondence, declarations, engagement letters, and client communications
• Assist with billing, time entry, expense processing, conflict checks, client intake, and matter management
• Collaborate with attorneys, accounting, foreign associates, and support staff to ensure exceptional client service

Qualifications:

✅ Minimum 3+ years of Intellectual Property legal assistant experience in a law firm or legal services environment
✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution procedures
✅ Experience tracking and calculating legal deadlines with exceptional accuracy
✅ Excellent organizational, proofreading, and analytical skills
✅ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
✅ Experience with IP docketing software such as Anaqua, FoundationIP, or CPi preferred
✅ Familiarity with USPTO electronic filing systems preferred
✅ Undergraduate degree preferred
