Job Title: General Liability Attorney

Location: Providence, Rhode Island (Hybrid Available)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Liability Attorney to join our expanding practice in the Providence, RI area. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys handling complex litigation matters, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of general liability matters from inception through resolution.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Develop case strategies and provide practical legal advice to clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, experts, and insurance carriers to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and evaluate litigation risk.
• Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Rhode Island (Massachusetts admission is a plus).
• 3–10+ years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability, insurance defense, premises liability, construction litigation, or personal injury defense.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience handling depositions, court appearances, and motion practice.
• Trial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to independently manage cases while working effectively as part of a team.
