Seeking a Structural Engineer with a focus on concrete and precast construction to support an expanding construction division. This role will lead the design and analysis of cast-in-place and precast concrete systems that support structural and installation operations. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, project management, fabrication, and field teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and aligned with construction needs.
Responsibilities
- Design cast-in-place concrete structures including foundations, pedestals, abutments, and walls
- Develop and review precast concrete elements and connection details
- Perform structural calculations for anchor systems, embedments, and base connections
- Analyze steel-to-concrete interfaces and load paths
- Ensure compliance with ACI, PCI, and other structural standards
- Perform structural analysis for both permanent and temporary conditions
- Evaluate crane loads and installation impacts
- Review reinforcement detailing and embed layouts
- Support construction teams with technical guidance and field solutions
- Participate in drawing reviews and identify constructability risks
- Conduct site visits as needed
- Assist in developing engineering standards and improving processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in structural concrete design
- Experience with cast-in-place and precast systems
- Strong knowledge of anchor systems and embed design
- Proficiency with structural analysis software
- Working knowledge of ACI and PCI standards
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience in bridge or heavy civil construction preferred
- Field experience supporting construction operations is a plus
