A leading meat processing manufacturer is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at a large-scale pork processing facility. This is a top leadership role with full responsibility for a 500-person plant overseeing harvest and fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant operations across kill floor and cut/package (harvest + fabrication)
  • Drive production efficiency, yield, and cost control in a high-volume environment
  • Ensure strict compliance with USDA, food safety, and regulatory standards
  • Develop and lead a team of supervisors and department managers across a 500-person workforce
  • Champion a safety-first culture and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Optimize labor, throughput, and plant performance metrics
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning and operational goals

Qualifications

  • Required: Experience in pork processing manufacturing
  • Proven leadership experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Production Leader in a meat processing facility
  • Strong background in harvest and fabrication operations
  • Experience managing large teams (300+ employees preferred)
  • Deep understanding of yield optimization, throughput, and cost controls
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, and food safety programs
  • Track record of improving operational performance in high-volume environments
