Job Description

CNC Programmer – Medical Devices

Turn Code into Life-Changing Parts

If you’re a CNC Programmer who sweats the details and likes knowing your work ends up in a patient—not a scrap bin—this is the kind of role that actually means something.

You’ll be programming complex CNC equipment for precision medical components, helping a team that lives and breathes quality, innovation, and doing things the right way the first time.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and maintain multi-axis CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (experience with Vericut or UG/Mastercam optimization tools is a plus).

  • Develop machining processes: choose workholding, cutting tools, tool layouts, speeds/feeds, and push for smart standardization.

  • Prove out programs on the machine, dial them in, and update code as needed for safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Write clear work instructions and support operator training and machining process validations.

  • Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, and shop personnel to get new and existing parts running smoothly in a regulated environment.

  • Identify and implement cost and cycle-time improvements, and help design jigs, fixtures, and special tooling for CNC applications.

  • Ensure programming file management and practices meet strict quality system requirements.

  • Act as a subject-matter expert and mentor for other programmers and machinists.

What Makes You a Fit

  • Solid hands-on foundation: CNC machining, manual machining, metal finishing/grinding, and assembly.

  • Strong working knowledge of CAD/CAM and comfort working from 3D models.

  • Education:

    • High school diploma/GED with at least 5 years CNC programming (including 3+ years on CAD/CAM), or

    • Associate’s/Technical degree with 3+ years related experience.

  • Experience in a regulated production environment is a big plus.

  • Multi-axis mill/turn and robotic experience are strong bonuses.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Your work directly supports medical solutions designed to prolong and reshape patients’ lives.

  • You’ll join a culture built on Quality, Integrity, Accountability, Efficiency, Innovation, Aspiration, Dedication, and Collaboration—not just lip-service values.

  • Competitive base pay, bonus opportunities, and a robust benefits package:

    • Medical, dental, vision

    • Maternity leave

    • Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability

    • 401(k) with up to 4% match from day one

    • PTO, paid holidays, bereavement

    • Employee assistance and education assistance programs

    • Wellness-focused culture with additional perks

If you want to move beyond generic job shop work and put your CNC programming skills into a mission where precision truly matters, this is your next step.
