Civil Construction Surveyor

We are partnering with a growing civil construction company in Tennessee to identify an experienced Civil Construction Surveyor to join their team. This is a hands-on field position for a survey professional who understands civil construction and can confidently translate project plans into accurate field layout.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform construction surveying, layout, and staking for civil projects

• Establish and verify elevations, grades, coordinates, and control points

• Review and interpret civil plans, engineering drawings, and specifications

• Utilize GPS and surveying equipment for field measurements and layout

• Verify existing site conditions and document field information

• Prepare and maintain accurate as-built documentation

• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field crews

• Identify discrepancies between plans and field conditions and communicate solutions

• Maintain organized survey records and field notes

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in construction surveying, civil surveying, or construction layout

• Strong understanding of civil construction practices

• Experience with Carlson Survey or comparable surveying software

• Proficiency with GPS surveying equipment

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with field teams

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
