Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join a growing general contractor based in Nashville, TN. This role will oversee healthcare construction projects across multiple locations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, a proactive mindset, and proven experience managing healthcare builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects from start to finish
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company policies
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, owners, and design teams
• Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress updates
• Manage quality control and ensure work meets project specifications and healthcare regulations
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Must have healthcare construction experience (hospitals, medical centers, clinics, etc.)
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively for projects
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ground-up and renovation healthcare projects
• Familiarity with infection control standards (ICRA) and healthcare compliance requirements
• OSHA 30 certification
