Excavating Project Manager/Estimator

A leading Excavating company is actively seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager/Estimator to join their team.  The Project Manager/Estimator will oversee the day-to-day operations for excavating, water sewer and utilities projects. The PM/Estimator will ensure that the project is completed safely, on schedule and within budget.  This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager/Estimator to join a team that is dedicated to safety, quality and growth. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years estimating experience in excavating, water sewer, utilities, or similar field, including experience as a sub-contractor.
• Solicit and respond to bid opportunities across assigned geographic region.
• Strong network of contacts and customer relationships within industry strongly preferred
• Methodically evaluate and analyze bid specifications, plans, scope of work, related drawings, production rates, and profitability margins 
• Stable work history
• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience with heavy civil construction equipment
• Large heavy/highway project experience
• Concrete, underground and grading experience
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-pressure environment with competing priorities.
• Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) coupled with ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and backgrounds.
