Commercial Litigation Associate | Austin, TX

A highly regarded, growing law firm in Austin is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join its sophisticated litigation practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with strong commercial litigation experience, excellent academic credentials, and a desire to work on complex, high-stakes matters alongside accomplished litigators. Construction litigation experience is a plus.

What You'll Do

  • Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal briefs
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Manage discovery and develop case strategy
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings
  • Collaborate with partners on complex business disputes and trial preparation
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical legal counsel

What We're Looking For

  • J.D. from a top-tier accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • 5–7 years of commercial litigation experience
  • Construction litigation experience is a plus
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Experience handling sophisticated litigation matters with increasing independence
  • Client-focused, collaborative, and motivated to grow within a high-performing practice
