JOB DESCRIPTION
A growing and well-established Structural Steel Fabricator / Erector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead structural steel erection projects throughout the Houston market.
This individual will oversee projects from award through closeout while coordinating field operations, fabrication schedules, subcontractors, and client communication to ensure successful project delivery. Projects may include industrial, commercial, manufacturing, energy, and large-scale structural steel construction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage structural steel erection projects from contract award through final completion
• Coordinate detailing, fabrication, delivery, and field erection activities
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and production timelines
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal operations teams
• Review contracts, specifications, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Monitor project costs, labor productivity, procurement, and project forecasting
• Coordinate with field superintendents and shop leadership to ensure project execution aligns with schedule and budget goals
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
• Manage change orders, project scope modifications, and claims when applicable
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to leadership and clients
• Identify and proactively resolve schedule, cost, and execution risks
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of Project Management experience within structural steel fabrication and/or erection
• Direct experience managing structural steel erection projects strongly preferred
• Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or large-scale steel construction projects
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication workflows and erection sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
• Knowledge of contracts, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change order administration
• Experience with project management software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of AISC standards and industry best practices preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
