Traveling Project Manager – Data Center Construction
A leading commercial contractor is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to support large-scale data center construction projects across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, technically complex builds with a company that has a strong pipeline in the data center and mission-critical space.
The ideal candidate is a proven Project Manager with experience in commercial or mission-critical construction who is open to travel and capable of managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage all phases of data center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout · Oversee project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance · Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors · Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders · Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure project alignment · Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively · Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards · Travel to job sites nationwide as required
Qualifications
· 5–10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction · Experience with data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects preferred · Willingness and ability to travel extensively (national projects) · Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting, and scheduling · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications · Experience with construction software (Procore, Primavera, MS Project, etc.) · Stable work history with reputable contractors · Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation and Benefits
