Personal Injury Litigation Attorney (2-4 years)
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its plaintiff-side practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility, develop litigation skills, and work on a diverse caseload involving injured clients.
Position Overview
The attorney will assist with and independently handle personal injury matters from initial case evaluation through settlement and, as experience develops, trial. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sound legal judgment, and a genuine commitment to advocating for injured individuals.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from inception through resolution
Investigate and evaluate liability, damages, causation, and insurance coverage
Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents
Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations
Analyze medical records, accident reports, insurance policies, and other case materials
Develop case strategies and work toward favorable settlements and outcomes
Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
Maintain organized case files and meet applicable deadlines
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in TX
2+ year of personal injury experience preferred
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills
Litigation experience is preferred
Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Compassionate, professional, and client-focused approach
