Position: Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

About the Role

The firm is seeking an attorney with insurance defense experience who can independently manage litigation matters while continuing to develop their skills and client relationships.

Candidates should have a proven track record of stability, strong litigation fundamentals, and a commitment to professional growth.


Responsibilities

  • Manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs
  • Conduct depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
  • Develop litigation strategy and case evaluations
  • Communicate directly with clients and carriers
  • Manage deadlines and active litigation files

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of insurance defense experience
  • Experience with:
    • Discovery
    • Motion practice
    • Depositions
    • Hearings
  • Must have remained with prior employer for approximately 2+ years
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Texas Bar admission required
