Safety Director - Steel Fabrication

Our client, an established steel fabrication organization, is seeking an experienced Safety Director to lead safety across its fabrication division. This is an on-site role in the greater Houston area with oversight of multiple fabrication facilities in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the safety program across multiple fabrication plants
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training
• Conduct regular plant inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
• Maintain OSHA compliance, recordkeeping, and reporting
• Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and leadership to build a strong safety culture
• Track safety metrics and report performance to leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety leadership experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environments
• Experience overseeing safety at multiple sites
• Strong knowledge of OSHA general industry standards
• OSHA 30 required; CSP, ASP, or CHST preferred
• Strong communication, training, and leadership skills

Compensation

• $100,000 - $130,000 base salary
