Job Description

This role assists with scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, documentation, procurement, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with all phases of commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs.
  • Track project budgets, committed costs, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor project schedules and help identify potential delays or cost overruns.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Coordinate permit applications, inspections, and project closeout documentation.
  • Support quality control efforts and ensure work complies with project specifications.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with punch list completion and project turnover.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of commercial construction experience in project engineering, field engineering, or assistant project management.
  • Experience with ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and contract administration.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites.

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred)

  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
