Job Description

Field Service Technician – Electrical Focus (CNC / Industrial Equipment)

Location: San Antonio, TX 

About the Role

This is not a routine maintenance position.

We are working with a group of industrial machinery companies in the San Antonio area

that need technicians who can step into real-world problems —

machines down, installs behind, customers waiting — and figure it out.

If most of your day is spent troubleshooting electrical issues, working through control systems,

and supporting equipment in the field, this is the type of role for which they are hiring.

 What Work Looks Like

  • Travel to customer sites across the region.
  • Troubleshoot and repair:
    • CNC machines
    • Press brakes
    • Fiber lasers
    • Automated equipment
  • Focus on:
    • Electrical systems (primary)
    • Control systems and PLC-driven equipment.
    • Secondary mechanical issues
  • Support:
    • Machine installs
    • Startups and commissioning
    • Pre-install prove-out in the facility.

 What They Are Looking For

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting ability:
    • Reading schematics
    • Tracing faults
    • Diagnosing control issues
  • Experience working on:
    • CNC equipment, OR
    • Fabrication equipment (press brakes / lasers), OR
    • Industrial machinery
  • Exposure to PLC systems:
    • Allen-Bradley
    • Siemens
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Comfortable interacting directly with customers
