💰 Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Summary

The company is seeking a Title Plant Manager to step into a key leadership role as part of a long-term succession plan. This position offers the opportunity to become the technical and operational leader of the title examination team while continuing to work on complex title matters and helping shape the future of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all internal title examination operations, including commercial, acreage, and residential transactions.
  • Manage and mentor a team consisting of:
    • Three (3) in-house Title Examiners
    • One (1) Title Services Coordinator
    • One (1) Customer Service/Data Entry team member
  • Conduct title examinations on complex commercial and acreage transactions as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and quality of title examination output.
  • Oversee in-house examinations, underwriter production examinations, and out-of-county title partner examinations.
  • Provide guidance regarding curative matters and risk-based underwriting decisions.
  • Communicate with underwriting counsel on unique or high-risk title issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with title agencies, underwriters, attorneys, and industry professionals.
  • Drive the continued development and technical growth of the title plant team.
  • Serve as a strategic resource and leader within the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of Texas title industry experience.
  • Extensive title examination experience from start to finish ("soup to nuts").
  • Strong commercial title expertise required.
  • Agricultural, ranch, farm, and/or energy title experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with title plants, abstracting, mapping, and curative matters.
  • Leadership, mentoring, or management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Existing Texas title industry network is a plus.
  • Preferred credentials: JD, CTIP, NTP
  • RamQuest experience preferred(transitioning to a new platform later this year)
