Electrical Project Engineer – Mission Critical / Data Center Construction

Location: 100% Travel (Nationwide) Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Electrical Construction | Mission Critical | Data Centers

Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support large-scale Mission Critical and Data Center construction projects across the U.S. This role partners with Project Managers and field leadership to coordinate project execution, scheduling, procurement, documentation, subcontractor communication, and overall project success.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting ground-up commercial or industrial electrical construction, understands electrical systems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project execution.

  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

  • Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and General Contractors.

  • Assist with scheduling, project tracking, procurement, and material management.

  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.

  • Support field teams by resolving issues and coordinating project activities.

  • Participate in project meetings and quality control efforts.

  • Assist with commissioning, startup, testing, and project turnover.

  • Monitor project costs, labor progress, and material usage.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electrical construction, project engineering, or construction management experience.

  • Commercial, industrial, or Mission Critical construction experience.

  • Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and specifications.

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Willingness to travel 100% nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mission Critical or Data Center construction experience.

  • Electrical Engineering or Construction Management background.

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM, or AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of NEC standards.

  • Commissioning/startup experience.

  • OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications.

  • Journeyman Electrician or field electrical experience.
