Lead the Future of Utah's Infrastructure
A rapidly growing electrical and communications infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to provide executive leadership across field operations, project management, estimating, and strategic growth. This is an opportunity to join an organization delivering electrical infrastructure, fiber, telecommunications, trenching, conduit, and underground utility projects throughout Utah.
This executive will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, expanding client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for all construction operations throughout Utah.
- Oversee project management, field operations, estimating, and preconstruction teams.
- Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives while expanding market presence.
- Build and mentor a culture centered on accountability, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Lead financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Strengthen relationships with municipalities, utility owners, developers, general contractors, and public agencies.
- Improve operational processes, productivity, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Support business development efforts and pursue new project opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive long-term company growth and profitability.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of leadership experience in heavy civil, electrical infrastructure, telecommunications, utility, or underground construction.
- Proven success leading multiple large-scale infrastructure projects simultaneously.
- Executive-level experience overseeing operations, project management, and field teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and company performance.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams, mentor leaders, and improve operational efficiency.
- Existing relationships within the Utah construction and infrastructure market are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
