Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team overseeing on-site construction operations for large-scale commercial projects! This role involves supervising all field activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Projects include:
- Hotels
- Casinos
- Healthcare Facilities
- K-12 Schools
- Higher Education
- Office Buildings
- High-Rise Construction
- Other large-scale commercial developments
Project values typically range from $30M–$200M+.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain project schedules and construction budgets
- Coordinate with owners and stakeholders regarding required documentation, including:
- Work permits
- Preconstruction risk assessments
- Infection control risk assessments
- Safety documentation
- Ensure all safety practices and procedures are followed on-site
- Lead and supervise subcontractors and field personnel
- Represent the company professionally during meetings with:
- Owners
- Architects
- Inspectors
- Subcontractors
- Utilize company software and technology for:
- Daily reports
- Expense approvals
- Site documentation
- Time entry
- Email communication
- Progress tracking
- Communicate regularly with leadership and project management teams regarding:
- Productivity
- Scheduling
- Quality control
- Site requirements
- Mentor and train upcoming field personnel and future superintendents
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Operations Director
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in large-scale commercial construction preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain jobsite efficiency
- Proficient with computers and construction management software
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and instructions
- Valid driver’s license required
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Team-oriented mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
