A well-established and growing organization in the real estate/title industry is looking to add a Settlement Attorney to their team. This stable and expanding group offers strong transactional volume, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to work directly with real estate professionals and clients throughout the settlement process. Due to continued growth, there is an opportunity for a Settlement Attorney to join a highly experienced and motivated team.

Settlement Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Conduct residential and/or commercial real estate settlements

  • Prepare and review deeds, contracts, powers of attorney, trust documents, and title abstracts

  • Review land records and perform chain-of-title analysis

  • Provide legal guidance to real estate agents and clients throughout transactions

  • Assist in resolving title issues and claims

  • Lead and present educational classes for real estate professionals

  • Support additional legal matters related to real estate and title operations

Settlement Attorney Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia Attorney license (required)

  • 3+ years of experience in real estate title and/or settlement work (required)

  • Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, title review, and closing procedures

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment

  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
