About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing law firm in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join its litigation practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a strong foundation in complex commercial disputes while working alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in commercial litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Assist with discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions.
• Participate in hearings, court conferences, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Assist senior attorneys with case strategy and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Active Virginia Bar admission required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a litigation team.
• Strong academic credentials preferred.
• Prior experience with Virginia state and federal courts is a plus.
