A well-established Virginia law practice is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This is an opportunity for an early-career attorney to gain meaningful experience handling civil litigation matters while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment.
Assist with a variety of civil litigation matters
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs
Assist with discovery, case preparation, hearings, and other litigation-related matters
Work closely with experienced attorneys on case strategy and preparation
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
Take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops
1–3 years of litigation experience
Active Virginia Bar license in good standing
Strong legal research and writing abilities
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Genuine interest in developing a long-term litigation practice
Candidates with experience in any area of civil litigation are encouraged to apply. Specific experience in the firm's primary areas of practice is not required.
Recent judicial clerks with strong litigation-related experience may also be considered.
