Director of Brokerage & Logistics Operations

Richmond (On-Site)

$140,000 – $160,000 Base + Bonuses

We are a growing transportation company seeking a hands-on Director of Brokerage & Logistics Operations to take full ownership of our brokerage division while leading transportation, sales, and operational performance.

This role is built for someone who has been in a structured brokerage environment and is ready for more ownership, visibility, and impact.


What You’ll Own:

  • Full brokerage P&L with authority to build and scale
  • Revenue growth through both personal production and team leadership
  • Oversight of operations and transportation execution
  • Hiring, developing, and leading a team of brokers and support staff
  • Expanding customer accounts and carrier network
  • Implementing process, KPIs, and scalable infrastructure

Who This Role Is For:

  • A current Brokerage Manager, Director, or Top Producer ready to step up
  • Someone who has worked within a high-volume brokerage or asset-based carrier
  • A leader who understands both sales and operational execution
  • A player-coach who still knows how to move freight and close business
  • Someone frustrated by layers of approval, limited upside, or lack of autonomy

What You Bring:

  • 7–15+ years in freight brokerage / logistics
  • Proven success leading or heavily contributing to a brokerage operation
  • Strong revenue and margin performance
  • Experience managing teams, operations, and customer relationships
  • Industry relationships are a plus, not a requirement
