Senior Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Treatment Construction

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of water and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of construction project management experience, including managing large municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities from preconstruction through project closeout. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong backlog of complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects from award through completion.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management efforts.
  • Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for future work.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing heavy civil or water/wastewater construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing water and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical piping, concrete structures, process equipment, and civil sitework associated with treatment facilities.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with municipal, design-build, CMAR, or alternative delivery projects.
  • Knowledge of public bidding procedures and government contracts.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
