General Liability/ Insurance Coverage Attorney (3+ Years)
Location: Seattle, Washington

A respected law firm in Seattle, Washington, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join its growing team.

The firm handles sophisticated insurance coverage and defense matters and is looking for an attorney with strong litigation skills, initiative, and an interest in developing long-term client relationships. The position carries a 1,900 billable hour requirement and offers competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance coverage and defense matters through various stages of litigation
• Analyze insurance policies and provide guidance on coverage issues
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
• Manage discovery, depositions, and case strategy
• Communicate directly with clients and develop strong professional relationships
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on case management

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally with insurance coverage, insurance defense, general liability, or related experience
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and litigation skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar
• Comfortable working primarily on-site in Seattle; some hybrid flexibility may be available for senior-level attorneys

Billable Requirement

• 1,900 billable hours annually
