Senior Insurance Defense Attorney

Are you an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney looking to join a respected and growing litigation practice? Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 5–12 years of experience to handle a sophisticated insurance defense caseload, including general liability, premises liability, transportation, construction defect, and catastrophic injury matters.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on greater case responsibility, work directly with clients and carriers, and play a key role in a successful litigation team while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
What You'll Do
Manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
Take and defend depositions, including expert witnesses
Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
Develop litigation strategy and provide case evaluations
Communicate directly with insurance carriers, clients, and opposing counsel
Mentor junior attorneys and support trial preparation
Maintain compliance with court deadlines and litigation requirements
Qualifications
J.D. and active Washington State bar admission
5–12 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management experience
Trial preparation experience required; first-chair trial experience is a plus
Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
Strong client relationship and communication skills
