CNC Plate Laser Operator — 2nd & 3rd Shift

Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Steel Plate / Manufacturing Job Type: Full-Time

This role is for someone who has real experience cutting steel plate on CNC laser cutting equipment. This is not just a load-and-unload position. The right person will know how to set up jobs, read prints, check material, monitor cut quality, and make machine adjustments when needed.

This is a hands-on role in a low-volume, high-mix job shop environment, where quality, safety, and precision matter every day.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3+ years of CNC plate laser operating experience 
• Experience cutting steel plate preferred 
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and part drawings 
• Experience setting up jobs and making machine adjustments 
• Understanding of cut quality, edge condition, tolerances, and bevel accuracy 
• Ability to troubleshoot basic cutting issues 
• Experience with overhead cranes and/or forklifts preferred 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Comfortable working in a fabrication/job shop environment 
• Basic computer skills for machine controls and production systems
