Some engineering management jobs are mostly about managing projects.
This one is about building the technical foundation of a manufacturing operation.
You’ll lead Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Tooling while helping a growing manufacturer improve equipment reliability, process capability, manufacturing flow and new-product execution.
What will land on your desk?
A new product needs a manufacturing process that will scale.
Equipment reliability needs improvement.
A recurring production problem needs root-cause analysis instead of another temporary fix.
Tooling needs to be improved.
A manufacturing cell needs better flow.
An engineer needs mentoring.
Maintenance needs stronger systems and priorities.
Those are the problems this person will own.
Your technical toolbox should include
Lean manufacturing. Value streams. 5S. SMED. Kanban. Kaizen. Root-cause analysis. Equipment and automation. Tooling. Process development. Preventive and predictive maintenance. NPI and manufacturing readiness.
Experience involving plastics, silicone, rubber molding or medical-device manufacturing would be particularly valuable.
But this isn't purely a technical role.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys developing engineers, maintenance professionals and tooling resources and building a stronger technical organization around them.
If you like fixing systems, developing people and making manufacturing work better, this is worth a conversation.
Please submit a resume for consideration. Only those qualified applicants that provide a resume will be contacted.
