Job Description

Our client, a growing design-build contractor, is hiring a Head Architectural / Structural Drafter right away. Their projects are mostly agricultural, commercial, and industrial. You'll own the drawing set from start to finish, and your plans will guide takeoffs, fabrication, and the work in the field.

What you'll do:

• Prepare accurate, error-free construction drawings
• Detail plans fully enough for material takeoffs, fabrication, and erection, so field crews have few questions
• Keep plans consistent from one job to the next and in line with company CAD standards
• Revise plans during active projects, mark each revision, and get the updated set to the Project Manager quickly
• Do the research each project needs

What they're looking for:

• Experience drafting architectural and structural plans for commercial or industrial buildings
• Strong CAD skills and close attention to detail
• Agricultural building experience is a big plus
• Comfortable leading the drafting function as the head drafter
