Electrical Engineer – Controls

Location: Montana

Compensation: $85,000–$120,000+ DOE Bonus: 12% STI

Experience Level: Entry-Level through Senior

Our client is a major North American power generation company with an established engineering team supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of its power plant. They are looking for an Electrical Engineer with controls experience or education and are open to candidates ranging from entry-level engineers to experienced senior professionals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As part of the engineering team, you'll collaborate with engineers and plant personnel to support projects and solve technical challenges throughout the facility.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Assist with electrical and controls engineering projects
• Support smaller projects and defined portions of larger projects
• Investigate technical issues and develop cost-effective solutions
• Assist with engineering studies, testing, and troubleshooting
• Develop design recommendations and improved procedures
• Gain hands-on experience in a challenging, structured power-generation environment

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
• Electrical Engineering background preferred
• Controls experience, education, or exposure

Preferred:

• Internship or co-op experience in the energy industry
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Experience with electrical, controls, instrumentation, or power-generation systems
