Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense  Attorney to join our legal team. This attorney will handle a variety of commercial construction litigation matters and insurance defense matters, including contract disputes, defect claims, lien enforcement, transactional work, and insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented attorney with strong litigation skills and a deep understanding of commercial construction law and insurance defense.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in commercial construction disputes, including defect claims, contract litigation, transactional matters, and insurance defense.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial construction contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements.
  • Manage litigation matters from pre-suit through trial, including depositions, discovery, motions, and court appearances.
  • Advise clients on compliance with commercial construction laws, lien laws, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with contractors, developers, insurers, and other stakeholders to resolve legal matters efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Florida (Required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction and insurance defense litigation experience.
  • Experience handling trials, mediations, and arbitrations is preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
