Position Overview:
A well-established litigation firm in Milwaukee is seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney with 2–7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance coverage analysis and litigation, excellent legal writing skills, and experience handling complex disputes in both state and federal court.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent insurers and policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, including commercial general liability (CGL), professional liability, and property claims.
Conduct policy analysis and draft coverage opinions.
Handle all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials.
Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and courts.
Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin (in good standing).
2–7 years of relevant litigation experience with a focus on insurance coverage
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience with policy interpretation and insurance-related motions is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage cases and client expectations effectively.
